Love & Marriage: Find Out Your UNIQUE Love Life Story
So Valentine's Day got me thinking about love and marriage. Is there love at first sight? Are there people we are destined to be with? How do I best like to be loved? What are my pitfalls?
So, I do what I always do when searching for answers about myself- I took a look at my Astrological Birth Chart and learned several things about my love story. Not like the history of my love life – though I did find several cool timing indicators of major events in my past and some possible future ones. But what the love story is that I was given at my birth. How many marriage contracts was I given the opportunity to take part in? What do I need to feel fulfilled in a relationship? Do I have a type? Is that type good for me?
So I dug. I researched. I meditated. I intuited. I interpreted. Basically did my WOOWOO thing. And what I found was super cool!
Attraction
So I do have a type – my Venus (11th house, Virgo) and Moon (2nd house, Scorpio) placements tell me that. Apparently I like mysterious guys who are cerebral but like to work with their hands, are practical, down-to earth-types, and can make me feel financially secure. I need to watch out for guys who I think I can save (boy, learned that one!) and who are moody and secretive. Scorpio or Virgo will feature prominently in their chart. My husband, whom I joke likes to hide his intellect well, is a tradesman who has always provided well for our family. He also happens to be a Scorpio Rising. BAM!
Marriage Timing and Partner
So of course, the biggest thing was to check for how many marriages I’m supposed to have in this lifetime. Could my Birth Chart really tell me that?
Turns out: yep, it can.
Since I am a woman, I look to my Sun and certain aspects that it makes. My Virgo Sun makes certain aspects to Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Uranus. The aspects tell me the details of these relationships, including chronological order, duration, and intensity. The aspects also give me details about my partner, like possible signs, vocations, and possible life situations.
Here’s what I am found out –
According to what I was ordained with at birth, I am supposed to have two relationships that are serious but not destined to be marriages. Followed by a marriage, followed by another relationship not destined to be a marriage.
‘Splain, Please...
My first major relationship was one of the ones not destined for marriage. This is indicated by certain aspects made between the Sun and Mercury. Mercury rules the social life, idea generation, and siblings. It also rules Virgo and Gemini. I met the first love of my life when we were both in school – high school for me, college for him. He was highly social and we spent hours talking about everything from the rise of technology to Def Leppard’s latest album (yes, it was the 80’s). He was one of five children. He was also a Gemini Rising. BAM!
My second major relationship was not destined for marriage either and this is revealed by the way my Sun aspects Venus. Venus is the planet of values, money, and beauty. It also rules Taurus and Libra. My first husband (man, was that a mistake!) is a Taurus Rising and I was a cosmetologist when we met. Our main fight was between the disconnect of our values and lack of money. Holy shit. I should NOT have married him. And the chart is right. I shouldn’t have. I was so eager to get on with adulting that I turned a learning relationship into a forever contract that it wasn’t supposed to be. Proof that even though it’s in the chart, we still have free will!
Side note - You know how a lot of people with kids look back at their failed marriage and say “I would do it all again just to have my kids.” It’s odd, but I never thought that. Instead I always thought, “I’d ruthlessly sleep with him twice and then never call him.” (points if you get the movie reference) No marriage again, just sleep with him the two times I got pregnant and that’s it. That way I’d still have my kids but not the tortuous 10 years in an emotionally abusive marriage, thank you very much. As if!
SO on to happier things…
Not actually us, but the hair color is right! lol
Next in chronological order is my ACTUAL PROMISED MARRIAGE. Yes, the good stuff! So for this one, I look to the aspect that the Sun makes to my Saturn. Saturn is the planet of foundations, grounding, early restriction resulting in long lasting results. Saturn also rules Capricorn (the father figure). My right hubs came out of nowhere for me. I wasn’t looking for him but one day he just appeared, opened up a world of possibilities previously unimagined, and then never left. Almost 14 years later, he still grounds my flights of fancy and keeps me real. He provides a solid foundation for our family and I feel emotionally secure in him. So how does my chart point to him? Well, my Saturn is in Gemini in the 9th house.

IN FREAKING GEMINI!
Oh, and Capricorn also falls in my 4th house of home and rules my 5th house of children.
What the What???? Needless to say, I was blown away.
I also have another possible relationship later on which is hinted at by a Sun/Uranus aspect, meaning it could be unconventional. Since women typically have a longer life expectancy than men, this could be a companion I take in much later widowhood.
